This Privacy Policy explains how Dressera ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Dressera mobile application. If you do not agree with this Policy, you are not authorized to access or use the App.
You can use the App without creating an account (guest mode). If you choose to create an account, we collect:
- Email address (used for login and account management)
The App lets you store and manage:
- Profile avatar photo (optional)
- Photos of garments and outfits
- Item details you provide (e.g., category, color, notes)
- Generated creations (images based on your garment photos)
Storage and backup. Your user content is stored:
- On your device (local storage), and
- On our server (to enable backup/service continuity and, where applicable, access across devices)
If you use the App without an account, your content may still be uploaded to and stored on our servers for backup/restore, and may be associated with a technical identifier for that purpose.
Backups are stored using randomly generated identifiers (e.g., file/object names). These identifiers are used to manage storage and retrieval and are not intended to identify you.
No third-party sharing of photos (by us). We do not share your photos (including avatar, garments, outfits, and creations) with third parties for their own purposes. We may use infrastructure and technical service providers to operate the App (see Section 4); they process data only on our behalf and under appropriate safeguards.
Avatar note. Your avatar photo may contain personal data (e.g., your face). We do not use it for identity verification or biometric identification.
Optional social sharing and watermark. If you choose to share a creation to your social networks using the in-app sharing feature, the App may generate a shareable version of the image that includes a small Dressera logo/watermark. The original content stored in your wardrobe remains unchanged; the logo/watermark is applied only to the version you choose to share.
We use Google Firebase services:
- Firebase Analytics (to understand how features are used and improve the App)
- Firebase Crashlytics (to detect and fix crashes)
These services may collect technical identifiers and device/app information (e.g., device model, OS version, app version, event logs, crash reports). We do not use this data for advertising profiling.
The App is designed to work without requesting sensitive device permissions. If you add photos, the App may rely on the operating system's file/photo picker mechanism (exact behavior can vary by Android/iOS version or device manufacturer).
If you share content, the App may use the operating system's sharing mechanism to send the selected image to the app/service you choose.
We use collected information to:
- Provide and operate the App (saving your wardrobe/outfits and creations; backup and restore)
- Enable sharing/export features when you request them (including adding a small Dressera logo/watermark to the shareable version of a creation)
- Process purchases/subscriptions and enable purchased features (purchase verification and entitlements)
- Maintain security and prevent abuse
- Improve performance and user experience (analytics)
- Diagnose and fix crashes and technical issues (crash reporting)
- Communicate with you about account/service matters when necessary (only if relevant)
Creations and limitations. The App may generate creations using AI-based technology. We use state-of-the-art methods and technology to provide the highest possible quality results and to continuously improve over time; however, AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or may not match real-world results. Outputs are provided for informational and styling purposes only.
We do not sell your personal data.
We share information only in these cases:
- Service providers that process data on our behalf (e.g., Google Firebase for analytics and crash reporting; hosting/infrastructure providers as needed to operate the service). They are authorized to process data only as necessary to provide services to us and under appropriate safeguards.
- Google Play (Google): purchases and subscriptions are processed through Google Play, which handles payment information under its own terms and privacy practices
- App Store (Apple): purchases and subscriptions are processed through App Store, which handles payment information under its own terms and privacy practices
- Social sharing at your direction: if you choose to share a creation to third-party platforms (e.g., social networks), the content you share will be transmitted to those platforms. Their use of the content is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we do not control how they process content once shared.
- Legal requirements: if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights and safety
- Business changes (if applicable): in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to appropriate safeguards
- Firebase (Google): Data processed by Firebase is subject to Google's terms and privacy practices
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play. We do not collect, store, or process payment card details or other payment credentials. Payment information is handled by Google and is subject to Google Play's terms and privacy practices.
We do not collect or request your personal financial information such as payment card details, banking credentials, or passwords (including your Google/Google Play password).
For purchase support, we may ask for non-sensitive information such as a Google Play order number/transaction identifier, the product purchased, or basic device/app details.
To provide the purchased features (e.g., subscriptions/entitlements), we may receive and process purchase-related information from Google Play, such as the product identifier, purchase status, and a purchase token/transaction identifier. We use this information to verify purchases, enable or restore entitlements, and provide support for purchase-related issues.
All purchases and subscriptions within the App are processed exclusively through the Apple In-App Purchase system. We do not collect, store, or process any payment data, credit card numbers, or other financial credentials. All transactions are handled by Apple and are subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and Apple's Privacy Policy.
We do not collect or solicit personal financial information such as payment details, banking credentials, or passwords (including your Apple ID password).
For the purposes of technical support or resolving purchase-related issues, we may request non-sensitive information from the user, such as the Apple order ID, the type of product purchased, or technical details regarding the device and the version of the App being used.
To provide the purchased features or content (e.g., subscriptions or in-app purchases), we receive transaction data from Apple, such as the Product ID, purchase status, and a unique transaction token/identifier. This information is used solely to verify the validity of the purchase, enable or restore purchases, and provide post-sale support.
- User content (avatar, photos, item data, and creations): retained until you delete it and/or request deletion. If you delete your account, any content associated with your account is retained until account deletion is completed as described below.
- Account email (if you created an account): retained until you delete your account.
- Firebase diagnostics/analytics data: retained according to Firebase settings and defaults, and may be kept for a limited period necessary for reporting and troubleshooting.
You can request deletion of your account and deletion of associated content by:
- Using the in-app deletion feature, or
- Contacting us at dressera.me@gmail.com
When your account is deleted, we will delete your server-stored content within a reasonable time, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate security purposes.
If you use the App without an account, you can remove local content using in-app delete/reset options and/or by uninstalling the App. You may also contact us to request deletion of any server-stored content; because backups may be stored under randomly generated identifiers, we may request limited information (such as device/app details or a technical identifier) to help locate the relevant server-stored content and verify the deletion request.
We use state-of-the-art administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact dressera.legal@gmail.com.
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and change the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
